Katie Pilbeam is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable television presenter, with a wealth of live studio, breaking news and hosting on location broadcasting experience.
Currently freelancing as a news anchor for Reuters TV in London and TRT World in Istanbul. And regularly presents the news bulletins on TalkTV.
She has previously worked for London Live News, RT International, IG Markets, London Stock Exchange and Proactive Investors.
She has anchored rolling news coverage of the Ukraine-Russia war, the failed Wagner group mutiny on Moscow, the NATO 2023 Vilnius summit, the cost of living crisis in the UK and King Charles III’s coronation. And provided live market analysis in the aftermath of the UK’s vote to leave the EU.
As well as anchoring, Katie has presented special feature shows from the Red Square in Moscow, the Sochi Winter Olympics, the World Economic Forum in Davos, the St Petersburg Economic Forum and the Shanghai Financial Forum.
Combining warmth and authority, Katie is an engaging interviewer. Her interviewees include President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde & Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and celebrities such as Steve Carell & Rowan Atkinson. As well as politicians in the news, including Boris Johnson, Sadiq Khan and even US President Donald Trump while presenting at the Miss Universe competition in Moscow.
An NCTJ qualified journalist, with a degree in English Literature and background in newspaper journalism, Katie is highly motivated and adaptable with experience of self-shooting and editing to tight deadlines, as well as writing scripts and sourcing guests.
Accomplished in public speaking Katie is a popular choice on the corporate circuit. She has hosted and moderated a range of conferences including twelve Geneva Forex Events. With her background in news presentation, Katie is equally at home hosting entertainment events, as well as being an in-demand choice for corporate clients and business events requiring financial expertise.
